GOOGLE: WATCH THE SOUND
Pre-roll ad for Google’s Assistant in collaboration with Fuji Rock Festival ‘18. We went for an animated style in order to match their current visual tonality and created a completely new world within their brand universe. Our visual journey leads from Tokyo to the countryside, the Japanese alps and finally the festival grounds of Fuji Rock ‘18. The hand-drawn Japanese titles highlight some of the features while the VO demonstrates the command:

A moving portrait of order, function, and intimate exploration into Japan’s notoriously low unemployment rate. Is this phenomenon a hungover relic of Japan’s miracle economic past, or just a statistical artifact? Tokyo’s organized chaos personified by the hard working men that make this city swing and tick like clockwork. Night in and night out.
Shot and edited in 1 night. (Personal Project)
